Five Question Friday

My Little Life

Rules for Five Question Friday: Copy and paste the following questions to your blog post, answer them, then go to Mama M's page and link up (Thanks, Mama M!).
  1. How much time do you spend on the computer a day?
  2. Will you pay for your children's college or raise them to pay for their own way?
  3. Have you ever been in a car accident?
  4. What is your favorite book?
  5. Do you make your bed everyday?
Here are my answers:

1. How much time do you spend on the computer a day?

Well . . . do I have to really admit how much? I work all day on the computer and you would think I wouldn't want to touch the thing when I get home. But, alas, I'm hooked on one thing and I guess I WILL admit it here . . . FARMVILLE! I need to get those crops harvested and my eggs collected. So, to answer the question, I probably spend about 8-9 hours a day. That sounds awful!!

2. Will you pay for your children's college or raise them to pay for their own way?

I have a unique situation. I've worked for several universities where a benefit of employment is reduced or free tuition. If my boys want to go somewhere other than where I've worked, I agreed to help them with what my portion would have been had they gone to school where I worked. I now work at UVU where tuition is free, so how lucky are my boys??? (You hear that M & J???)

3. Have you ever been in a car accident?

I've been incredibly lucky. I've never been in an accident; other than the time I hit a deer (see my previous 5QF entry), but I don't consider that to be a true accident. That deer hit ME!

4. What is your favorite book?

I'm not really sure I can name just one. I've been an avid reader since I was in grade school and when I find a book I like I will read and re-read until I can quote it almost word for word. But if I had to choose, I'd say
Anne of Green Gables. I always wished I was more like Anne; not afraid to speak up or try anything new. Maybe some day :)

5. Do you make your bed everyday?

Ohhhhhh, boy. This is something that bugs me EVERY DAY! I get up earlier than my husband. I have to leave the house by 7am and he doesn't have to be to work until 10a. He gets to sleep in. How unfair is that?? And every day I come home, the bed is unmade. I'd love to have the bed made every day, but I'd say it gets made 1 or 2 days . . . A MONTH! That's even worse than spending 8-9 hours on the computer!!! Please don't judge me :)

Your turn.

Green Peppers and Volkswagens

I'm with just about everyone else I know . . . I'm SO glad it's the weekend! With one exception: we woke up to 5 inches of snow . . . AGAIN!!! I want to hunt down Punxsutawney Phil and strangle the little varmint. I think he lied!! Here's this week's Five Question Friday, and once again Mama M has used one of my questions (did I really submit this many?? haha). Link on up and join in. I love going through the entries and reading what others answer. At times it let's me know I'm not so CrAZy! 1. Can you drive a stick shift? I certainly can. The very first car I drove when I was 13, o ut on the country roads (as if that makes it ok!), was a 1963 Volkswagen Beetle. Then when I finally got my permit, we had an old brown pickup with "3 on the tree" and I learned to drive stick. I didn't realize there was any other option. Now days, it seems like it's a rare thing if someone knows how to drive a stick. I LOVE driving a stick . . . y...

Life and Five Question Friday

WoW ! Exactly a month since my last post and I'm going to revert to my usual "Five Question Friday" staple. Life has just been one cRaZY thing after another since the boys and I were in the play. Here are just a few highlights: I turned 51. Woo Hoo !! I may be losing yet another job (but positive thinking is leading me to new possibilities!) My brother was stabbed and almost didn't live to tell the tale (a couple of flat lines in the OR and a VERY long scar from his sternum down past his bellybutton are evidence) My youngest brother and his family were here for a visit (I haven't seen them since 2007) And . . . I'm set for ONE more surgery on my shoulder. And this will be the last one . . . absolutely . . . positively!! PHEW! I think that's enough for the summer. Now . . . on to the questions for the day. If you want to play along, copy and paste the questions to your blog (or just answer them in my comments area), link back to the fabulous Mama M...

The things we do . . .

Woo Hoo! Mama M's Five Question Friday has one of my submitted questions. Thank you, Mama! That's a HUGE thank you to Mama M since it's been a tough couple of weeks for her family after a tragedy hit them. If you're a praying sort of person, they could benefit from them. I know they have mine. If you'd like to join in, I'd love to read your answers. Just comment or hook on up with the linky. And here we go . . . 1. Would you rather be on ABC's Extreme Home MakeOver or TLC's What not to Wear? Easy choice here. I already know how to dress and look F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S!! Thanks to Carol Tuttle and her "Dressing Your Truth " and "Energy Profiling" systems. Check it out. The only problem with Extreme Home Makeover is this . . . His screaming drives me NUTS!! I liked him SO much better when he was on Trading Spaces with cute little Paige Page. He wasn't so . . . IN YOUR FACE obnoxious! 2. Do you have any tattoos? Well . . . yes a...
